On this day: The mandate divides Palestine into two states. On November 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Palestine partition plan, Resolution 181 (II). The UN Ad Hoc Committee passed the British mandate for Palestine by voted 33 to 13. Palestine was divided into two states, one an Arab State and another a Jewish State. According to resolution, those were lived in the Jewish state became citizens of the Jewish state. People were lived in the Arab state became citizens of the Arab state.
